Hi, I’m David with Rhino Roofers. One thing that I always hear people get wrong is that they’re installing a true system from Owens Corning. The fact is, is if you don’t install an engineered Ridge along with ice and water Owens Corning, underlayment and the shingle, you don’t have a true system. So what does that mean to you?

It means that you’re going to have multiple warranties on your roof, not a system approach. Conversely, we install a true system, starting with the underlayment. Followed by ice and water, the field shingle, the ventilation and the engineered Ridge. This is a true system 100% by Owens Corning. Lastly, you want to make sure that your system has a manufacturer warranty for lifetime

Hi, this is Christian with Rhino Roofers. I’m here to answer one of the most frequently asked questions. Why should I work with a roofer with insurance? One of the very first things that you want to ask your roofer about their insurance policy. What they should give you is a certificate of liability insurance.

And you’re going to want to look that over and make sure it’s correct. Now, another step that you could take is possibly even calling the insurer to make sure. It’s still current. It’s important for homeowners because you could run into instances where they’re doing the job, somebody could get hurt.

Lastly, the contractor you’re working with is not insured, it could leave the homeowner liable for any kind of injuries. So work with somebody that has insurance to protect you, protect your property and make sure that the job goes smoothly. I hope that answers your question. My name is Christian with Rhino Roofers.

Hi, my name is Christian. I’m one of the roofing consultants at Rhino Roofers.  I’m here to answer the question, what is a roof inspection? A roof inspection is something that you’re going to want to get every one to two years for continued maintenance.

There’s no surprise damages that would result from heavy winds or hail. Pretty frequently when the hailstorms come through, come through overnight. And some people might not even know that they have damaged. So it is very important to get that roof inspection. Some roofers, they do, what’s called a 12 to 20 point inspection.

One thing that Rhino Roofers does is a free 37 point inspection. Whether that’s somebody up on your roof. Inspecting or by one of our drone pilots who flies over the roof and does a digital scan of the roof. This will detect any kind of storm related or any other kind of damages. We will then review and present our findings to you.

Lastly, whether your roof’s in great condition or whether it’s time to probably get it looked at being a repair or replacement. If you’d like to go ahead and get one of those inspections, set up, go ahead and give us a call. Or visit our website to get that process started. I hope that answered your question today.

Hi, my name is Christian. I’m one of the roofing consultants at Rhino Roofers. And I’m here to answer a question of what is the best roof. Now there’s a couple of different factors when it comes to choosing what roof would be best for what specific home. And that is what is the slope of the house? What’s the age of the house?

What is the substrate look like? What do you currently have? A lot of people have interest in upgrading to other roofing materials. And sometimes it’s not the best choice, always consult with a roofing expert to find out what that best choice could be. If you’d like to set up an appointment, contact Rhino Roofers on our website, or give us a call to go ahead and get that process started again, my name’s Christian.

Hi, my name is Christian with Rhino Roofers and I’m here to answer a common question, and that is what causes a shingle to fall off a roof. There’s a couple of things that could come into play here. One of those things that we see very often is wind being a huge factor. Furthermore, wind can very easily get under an older or more aged shingle and cause it to tear.
Now there’s a couple of other things that could come into play. And one of those things is did the contractor nail that shingle correctly, that shingle could have been under driven or over driven. In other words, that just means that if it’s under driven the nail sticking up just a little bit and not allowing the shingle above that to adhere properly, and that shingle could very easily have exposure to wind, or if it’s over nailed, the nail could be penetrating all the way through the shingle matting and not actually holding that shingle down anymore.

However, they were using the leaf blower to blow up their rood, curling up the shingles and actually ripped off a full sheet of shingles called their insurance company, and unfortunately it did not have insurance. So they had to come out of pocket for that. In summary, you always consult with a trusted roofing expert on best practices for cleaning your roof or making sure that your roof is has proper installation.
I hope that answered your question today. Again, my name is Christian at Rhino Roofers.

Hi, I’m Jonah with Rhino Roofers. Today I’m going to be talking about how to know if you have storm damage on your roof. As a homeowner, the easiest way to know if you have storm damage on your roof is to obviously just go outside, take a few steps on your sidewalk and look up on your roof. Now, if you see missing tiles, that’s usually the easiest storm damage to see.

Obviously, missing tiles are pretty easy to spot. Now when it comes to hail damage, that is something that’s a little bit harder to spot. If you’ve got yourself a pair of binoculars, you can look up on your roof and maybe if you see some black, um, black spots on your roof, normally that’s an indication of hail damage, the easiest, safest, and most efficient way for you as a homeowner to know if you have storm damage, however, is to call us a Rhino Roofers.

It’s a free inspection. We’ll do a full 37 point inspection on your roof. That way, you know exactly what’s going on on every square inch of your roof. Once again, I’m Jonah with Rhino Roofers. I hope this video gave you guys some insight and was helpful. If you have concerns about your roof and once you’re free inspection today, give us a call or you can email us and we can get you taken care of.

Hi, my name is Christian. I’m a roofing consultant with Rhino Roofers, and I’m here to answer a question that we get asked pretty often, and that is how long should a roof last for . Now there’s a couple of things that could come into play here. And that is what is the roofing type, whether it’s shingles or metal or, tile

and also, what is the weather conditions been like for the past couple of years. In south Texas, we get hail pretty consistently. So roofs tend to last for about 15 to 20 years. In a market where hail or heavy wind storms are less prevalent, you may see those roof lives go up to 40 to 50 years. Now because we are in south Texas,

I always suggest to homeowners that I work with getting their roofs checked every one, maybe even two years. Even if it’s new, it never hurts to get it checked.

Now, one other contributing factor to this is foot traffic. If your roof’s relatively new, you want to keep as few people on the roof as possible in order to do that, but still get your roof inspected at Rhino Roofers, we do offer a free 37 point inspection from a drone where the photos that are from the drone do get reviewed by one of our roofing consultants here. If you’d like to book one of those appointments, you can always call us or visit our website to get the process started. I hope that answered your question again, my name is Christian with Rhino Roofers have a great day.

There’s a couple different things that you need to ask yourself when choosing a roofer and that is, are they licensed. Being licensed means that they can pull the proper permits in order to coincide with the city codes and their standards.

And that could cause a couple of problems if they don’t hold those permits. Another thing is, do they have insurance? That’s a huge one that you need to make sure that whoever you choose to work with carries the proper kind of insurance. Another thing that you need to ask yourself is have I done my research on them?

A couple other things I always like to ask people when they’re trying to choose what roofer to go with is will they offer some kind of a warranty after the work’s done. Typical warranties in San Antonio, market

go anywhere from five-year workmanship warranty to I’ve seen upwards of 15 years. Working with Rhino Roofers what you’ll get is a true lifetime warranty once we’ve replaced your roof. Last thing I always tell people to look into is, is your roofer going to provide you with a detailed quote or is it going to be something that’s just written down on a piece of paper.

In summary I always suggest go with somebody who’s going to provide that detailed quote so that you know exactly what’s going to be put on your roof. I hope that answered your question today. My name is Christian with Rhino Roofers if you’d like to go ahead and get an inspection set up, you can always call us or visit our website to go ahead and get that process started.

Hi, I’m Jonah with Rhino Roofers today, I’m going to be talking about what storm chasers don’t tell you. Storm chasers suck. A couple of things that they won’t mention to you is about covering your deductible. One big thing that storm chasers won’t fill you in on is that if they tell you that they can cover your deductible. That’s actually currently illegal in Texas for contractors to cover your deductible.

The main reason that they do this is so that they can earn your business quick, give you a cheap product, a cheap roof, and just get out of your hair and offer no kind of. Which leads me into the second thing is that most of the time storm chasers won’t give you any kind of warranty. This is why it’s such a good idea to research your local roofers and see who’s local, who does a great job here in San Antonio.

That’s why it’s so important to research for your local roofers, make sure and check out their websites and their reviews. Uh, maybe some testimonials for some local customers that way you guys know exactly who you’re getting and who you’re dealing. Another thing that they’ll tell you or that they won’t tell you is that they will most likely be using products that aren’t quite meant for your roof.

Meaning that they’re either used products or old products, not up to city code because they’re not from the area. They don’t know exactly the, the materials that they should be using on your roof. In summary, you may be paying less not, but you’re going to be paying even more in the long run.

Hi, I’m Jonah with Rhino Roofers. Today I’m going to talk about how to know if you’re dealing with a fly by night roofer. Now fly by night roofer, what that really means it’s a roofing company that comes out of state or normally out of town,

and just kind of comes in to make a quick buck. A couple of easy ways to identify whether or not you’re dealing with that kind of company are easy things such as their trucks have a different area code.

Another big one is that you as a homeowner need to look out for is if they are covering deductibles. Now, the reason that that’s such a big deal is that not only is contractors covering deductibles illegal here in Texas, but you usually pay for that in the back end, meaning that if they’re willing to pay your two, $3,000 deductible, whatever it may be, you’re going to lose that value in the backend.

Lastly, the money that they spend covering your deductible, they’re going to lose on however much your roof costs. Another key analytical thing to look out for whenever you’re speaking with an out of town fly by night, roofer is if they’re asking for a large down payment upfront. Normally this is just because they, like I mentioned, they want to make a quick buck.
