Why I Upgraded to a Steel Roof

With purchasing the house, we had a home inspection that was done. They didn’t really examine the roof completely. They kind of did it from ground level and said everything was fine. Just ended up power washing the roof because it had a little bit of moss…a little bit of growth on it. It was a terracotta.

Not too long afterwards we had our first major storm, and found a leak that was coming out of the ceiling. We had somebody come out to check out the roof. They found numerous tiles that were new that were just simply laid over old tiles and just real shoddy, repair jobs. I stopped what we’re doing with the person who was just going to repair the leak.

I stumbled upon Rhino Roofers. There are little nuances that go with the terracotta roof that I don’t get when I go with the stone coated steel roofing, which to me, was the best decision.

One of the big selling points was the time frame. that your roof could last. I knew I was going to get some longevity out of the roof and not be in the same predicament as I was before.

I now have a roof that I won’t have to have replaced like shingles due to weathering or natural wear and tear. And one of the major things with switching from terracottais that I don’t have to worry about that underlayment issue that we used to have.

And I couldn’t be happier with the fact that we made this choice and that’s really it.
